The surroundings of Lake Firwalstet are the cradle of Switzerland. It is home to the first three cantons of Switzerland - Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden.
When God created the world, he sent one of the angels to pour water into the lakes. The angel flew over the Alps with a vessel of moisture in his hands. On the way he accidentally hit the mountain top, and the water from the vessel spilled into the valley. In this place a lake of enchanting beauty, shaped like a cross» - so describes the ancient legend of the appearance of Firvalstadsky in the heart of central Switzerland. The more famous name of this picturesque lake is Lucerne, as well as «Lake Four Cantons»
