German artist, born in Koenigsberg. Studied at the Königsberg Academy of Arts, Weimar, Munich and Berlin under Hans Gude. Around 1912 he made a study trip to Argentina, the results of which he demonstrated at Koenigsberg in the same year. He painted genre and landscape paintings, which he showed at exhibitions at the Berlin Academy (1886-1892), the International Art Exhibition (1891) and others.
