Eduard Bischoff studied at the Königsberg Art Academy with Ludwig Dettmann, Heinrich Wolf and Richard Pfeiffer. He was a freelance artist.
He received an appointment as a professor at the Koenigsberg Academy of Arts.
He worked as a painter, sculptor, ceramist, graphic artist, and did glass paintings.
Bischoff developed his own style influenced by the late works of Lovis Corinth, expressionism and the ‘new materiality’ movement.
He is known as the author of the wall paintings of the Public House in the town of Insterburg (now Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region).
