“Under the Mask”

The Museum of Russian Impressionism presents an exhibition "Under a mask" - in the halls will spread the panorama of carnivals and masquerades XIX and XX centuries.

The interest in the fun with changing clothes has not been extinguished for several centuries, attracting both guests of imperial palaces, and God in artistic cabarets, and residents of Soviet apartments. Works of Vladimir Makovsky, Sergei Sudeyekin, Sergey Vinogradov, Abram Archipov and other artists will present expressive moments of court balls, street parties and home-dressed holidays.

The painting by Smirnov Vasily Sergeyevich "Celebration of Poppey on Octavian" from the foundation of the Russian Art Center will be presented at this exhibition.
