"Wedding procession" of Adolf Amberg was planned for the Prussian court on the occasion of the wedding of the Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm and Cecilia von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, but was not performed for this event. In 1908, the first porcelain figurines were produced after Theodor Schmuz-Bauer bought the design of Amberg for the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin. The CPM figures from the wedding train were first seen at the 1910 World’s Fair in Paris, and then the train was fully shown in 1911 as part of the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. The procession consists of a jardiniera, two bowls with fruit, two candelabras and twenty separate figures.
